Mr. Michael Hespe

Head of Production Engineering

Mr. Michael Hespe is the Production Manager at Tidal Petroleum Inc., where he is responsible for overseeing production engineering, well optimization, and field operations across the Company’s assets. He joined Tidal Petroleum in December 2024 as the first engineer hired under Vice President of Operations Cliff Davis and supports the planning and execution of production, workover, artificial lift, compression, and field optimization projects. Mr. Hespe brings over 10 years of oil and gas experience, with a strong background in production engineering, artificial lift systems, well diagnostics, workovers, chemical treatment programs, and production optimization. His experience includes gas lift, plunger lift, rod pump systems, compression, well intervention, and production enhancement projects. Prior to joining Tidal Petroleum, Mr. Hespe worked for IKAV Energy in Durango, Colorado, where he managed production operations and implemented strategies to improve well performance and operating efficiency. He began his career in the San Juan Basin, where he was responsible for overseeing a large portfolio of producing wells and gained extensive hands-on experience in field operations, artificial lift optimization, workovers, and chemical treatment programs. Mr. Hespe holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Fort Lewis College and a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
